The plight of this Gursikh family in Mani Singh Wala Village, Faridkot is heart-wrenching. His wife, who has been mentally disturbed since birth, is unable to contribute to the family’s income. The burden of sustaining the family has fallen on their young daughter, Jaswinder Kaur, who could only study until the 8th standard due to financial constraints. She has been working as a domestic helper in houses in the village to help her family meet their basic needs.

Their son, Manpreet Singh, is currently studying in the 12th standard and is learning Gurbani through Gurbani Santhya. While his passion for religion is admirable, it has been difficult for him to focus on his studies given the dire financial situation of his family. Despite their hardships, this Gursikh family has not lost hope. They are seeking the help of a donor who can adopt them and provide them with the support they need to sustain themselves. It is a call for compassion and kindness to anyone who can lend a helping hand.

It is a sad reality that the burdens of poverty fall hardest on the most vulnerable members of society, and in this case, it is the innocent children who are bearing the brunt of the family’s struggles. We can only hope that someone hears their plea for help and steps forward to offer them the support they need. It is a reminder that there are many families like this one who are struggling to
